Bumbaclot

I made a post a while ago about Major Lazer, the duo group comprised of Diplo and Switch. Both are extremely talented producers who have teamed up to release an album together. So far a few tracks have come out including Hold The Line and Zumbie which features Andy Milonakis in his role as a zombie. He's a bumbaclot master, which in Jamaican means fuck. The song is pretty hilarious and the video is even more ridiculous. Major Lazer also just dropped some tour dates that will be rollin right through our area check them out below...

06/13 SOB's, New York, NY
06/18 House of Blues, Boston, MA
06/19 Electric Factory, Philadelphia, PA (FREE!!!)
06/20 Rock and Roll Hotel, Washington D.C. (FREE!!!)

Babies behind bars

Well i'm sorry but there are not really any caged babies on this post just some incredible music, which almost makes up for it. Pictured above is Tom Gandey who is in charge of Cagedbaby and he is sick wit it. His music is described as acid-house superhero meets new romantic, Neil Tennant meets Fatboy Slim. I think the reason I like it so much is because it reminds me of Sebastian Tellier who is also pma (preety much amazing). Probably the best way to describe this and I quote "this music pops out of your speakers with a martini in hand." Give it a go if you know what's good for you.

Ziggy Baby

This came up on Pandora when I woke up this morning and it caught my attention so I thought I'd share it with everyone. The non-live version is a little different, more melodic that is. I kinda like that better but Ziggy is a soulful ass du.

Rainydayz.

I don't know about you guys, but here in Fred Vegas, it is dreary as shit. And with this depressing ass weather, Burial is a damn good answer. Not sure if I got this from Pigeons and Planes or not, but props to them for prescribing Burial as treatment for sorry ass weather. Below is Burial's remake of Four Tet's "Moth".

Soundset 2009, Minneapolis

Had the chance to see Atmosphere last weekend. Didn't. Huge fail on my part, Atmos is probably one of my favorite artists, and supposedly he has incredible stage presence and the ability to clearly rap throughout the entire show, articulating every lyric. But I think you can pick up on that from the video above. I need to hit up one of these shows, aka Coachella, Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza. Badly.

Khaled loves Kolabs

Once again Dj Khaled got together the most ridiculous gang of g's for a remix. This track features (in order of how tight their verses are) Juelz Santana, Fabolous, Ludacris, Officer Ricky and of course the original track is by The (american) Dream. Honestly there really wasn't anything about Ross' verse that I enjoyed other than his beard b/c I could never grow one like that. Juelz is usually not on my top 10 list but he got it right here and killed it. Enjoy, leave a comment, dance a little bit.

Goodness Gracious

Caught wind of this over @ HeavyRoc (much appreciated), thought I would pass it on to you guys. Charles Hamilton, obsessed with Sonic the Hedgehog and the color pink, great. This is his assistant in the video below and things turn a little sour after Charles goes in the wrong direction with his flow. They're both pretty crazy I think since she starts out singing and then turns the grime flow on. Charles is dropping his debut album This Perfect Life June 23rd, his flow and accompanying tracks are definitely enjoyable so check out the two vids below. High class chics that be crazy in the brain.

Brooklyn girls = Crazy

Oh you wanna be a star? Oh you messing with the right one

Time to bring it back old school style. Alright not that old school but still. Bizarre/tight remix of Overnight celebrity for ya, and some new Blaqpoet and N.O.R.E. goodness over some classic DJ Premier production.

Here's a guy your gonna want to introduce yourselves to. Dan Black is somewhat of a unique case. Previously a member of the English alternative band, The Servant. Black has made a name for himself with some songs that have made the journey from one side of the internet to the other. Although he has his biggest fan base in Europe, I can see that it probably won't be long till the U.S. joins the groupie train. Below are two tracks, the first an example of Black's vocal skills over hip-hop style beats and the second a dope track blessed by Passion Pit's signature synth reworking.

The New West

New U-N-I. Old U-N-I. Of course, both deliver. If you haven't had a chance to listen to this Cali Hip-hop duo yet, I highly suggest it. In an effort to spread there music, they released their debut album "A Love Supreme" free(which of course is available below) on March 31st. Although this may not be technically an album, it is 2saucy to be deprived of the recognition and play it deserves. Below is a new cut, courtesy of 2DB, where you can see if you like their style. And with B.O.B. and Lupe currently working together, the addition of this duo would be nuts, just putting that out there.

Land of the Kings- U-N-I

What is happening here?

Just watch the bottom two videos as they are both wildly incredible. From what I understand Julia was announced the winner of the wildcard youtube competition, because I think it really is wild that she is doing all those things. But Daichi from Japan is unreal and was also unbelievable to watch, you have to put your hands down to both of these or together, you could put your hands together also. Thank you to a Bea Hernandez for opening my eyes to Daichi! So legit
PS. Daichi was not even in the top 5 competitors, how the>....?

A Maze

I came across something delightful in my bookmarks today as I was sorting through them. Completely forgot that I meant to follow up on this track and that it even existed. Emancipator mixed Shook by Mobb Deep and an unknown song by Sigur Ros who deserves a post very soon on Special Sauce. I wonder what Mobb Deep think of this mashup because it goes extremely well together. You can thank me when you see me

Animal Collective - The House of Blues Concert

Just returned back home from a pretty incredible trip to Boston. Some fun facts about Boston: first state to legalize gay marriages, just recently decriminalized less than an oz of weed for personal use sooo it's a pretty amazing city. The people there love their sports and love their city very much! I don't know if it was the friendliest towards foreigners but who cares. Thanks to my good friend Mandi I was able to secure her extra Animal Collective ticket and after a trial run we finally made it to the House of Blues in anticipation for a show that would be unique to say the least. That night only three out of the four members performed, that included Avey Tare, Panda Bear and Geologist. Their stage presence was phenomenal as they vibe to their work more intensly than any other live concert i've seen before. I was sober for the whole show unlike the majority of the people there. Puffs of herb rose every few minutes from the center of the crowd and others moved like their life depended on it. The show was complete overload of the senses, my ears rang for a good two hours after the show and my eyes were still trippin. If you haven't listened to any animal collective songs yet then give them a fair chance, they are extremely forward thinking and full of dense talent. The set list included lots of new tracks as well as classics that made people melt with joy. Here's the set list:
What Would I Want Sky
Summertime Clothes
Guys Eyes
Slippi
Who Could Win a Rabbit
Comfy In Nautica
#1
Lablakely Dress/Fireworks
Bleed
Brother Sport
****Encore****
Chocolate Girl
My Girls
Leaf House

Summertime clothes, Brother sport and My Girls were out of control! Their live performances have all of their unique sound that you'd hear on their albums which blows my mind since I can't even imagine reproducing the sounds especially live. Both Panda and Avey delivered such good vocal performances and ROCKED it. Geologist was so nasty, sending heavy bass through the crowd not givin a fuuuuck. I hope that you give them an honest chance in your heart and that you get to see them if the opportunity presents itself. Here's a video of their live performance of My Girls from the show and the music video which is why I first fell in love with AC.

More Bottles - Wyclef Jean

New Wyclef Jean. Definitely feeling this song, bringing it back to the fu-gee-la days with some Timbaland infused production.

More Bottles- Wyclef Jean(prod. by Timbaland)

Deal With This Right Now

There's a lot of bullshit out there that you sometimes gotta sift through to get to the milkey chocolatey center of a delicious drumstick ice cream cone or a tootsie pop, actually a chocolate lava cake with a center explosion that has to be ordered at the beggining of dinner? Yea winner.

Will definitely make you feel better

Feel free to ignore jeezy

Real tight, set's the mood pretty damn well

Soooo Classic... and doesn't fit in the theme of this post at all but it needs to be here.

Mad Hatter

90% of the song in the video above is straight from sounds recorded from Alice In Wonderland which I need to watch again now that my brain can recognize all the references to drugs and such. Randomly found this guy who has got some pretty incredible tracks that he produced that goes by the name of Pogo. Seems like he is really talented in both the visual and audio parts of his work. His videos above are really intriguing and kind of addicting i'd say. Check his page out here you can download all his work on the same page. Hope you like it!

GRIME MODE RAP SESSION

You ever feel like listening to some GRIMY ASS RAP? some rap that makes you forget your a middle classed white kid(myself) and makes you think of doing some crazy ass shit Mobb Deep style?

Well your answer comes in the form of Sean Price, 1/2 of Heltah Skeltah. Although he could possibly not like that his music makes me get rowdy as shit, I CAN'T HELP IT© The Roots.

Your about to be introduced to rap that makes you wanna rob a convenience store, be someone in the wire, sell tricks...I mean dime bags on the corner.

Midnight Madness- Heltah Skeltah(M-Phazes Remix)

And I jizz in my pants.

Never had heard of D Sharp the Violinist before, but he is on some SHITTTTTT. Spotted over at Pigeons and Planes, Derryck "D Sharp" Gleaton, a violinist and violist that blends Hip/Hop and R&B with the classical violin and viola style, rips his personal redition of Kid Cudi's Day N Night instrumental. If you have ever listened to Black Violin you know what your getting yourself into. As I'm sure you'll agree, the addition of live orchestra instruments into a hip-hop(or other genres) based instrumentals can sound incredible. And on a final personal note as a former violinist, I always appreciate this type of talent and creativity that seperates the people like D Sharp from the generic producers that are all too common today.

YO ITS TIME FOR SOME DANCEEE MUZZZZAKKKKKK

Just to remind everyone, UEFA Champions League final, F.C. Barcelona v. Manchester United is in Rome in two weeks, correction, at 8:45 Roma time. And to remind you some more, here are some rowdy hooligan jams in the first two songs, with the second two keeping the speakers bumping Cinco de Mayo style. Shout out to Pepe Lope tequila!

It's the Ten Rave Commandments!

Deadmau5 and Kaskade team up with Union Records to bring you "I Remember". Thanks to The Culture of Me for this good look, the video features a journey of these two groups as they hope to reach the top-shelf of the England Dance/Rave Scene. From the beginning of breakfast with a older man discussing the ten commandments of rave and getting your Carpe Diem on, to the peak of the groups own success, the video and storyline is pretty insightful and dope. Video and MP3 below for listening pleasure.

Just got back from North Myrtle Beach and it was madness to say the least. I'm glad to say that I made it back alive, because I can easily say that bad things could have happened there. Shout to Gelsh, Andy, Amrod running on the beach with a spotlight on us from a hotel getting chased by the po's. and that was small fries. Never has such a shithole offered such opportunity. So after being cut off from the net and civilization for the last week, I have been catching up on the outrageous amount of music that has come out. So again, shout out to the all the baby's mamas out there, happy mothers day bidgessssss.

Procrastinate If You Must

It's finals week and I figured that I would share some of my finest tools of procrastination that offer some kind of relief during most of our hell weeks. If you're already done then I envy you greatly. If you're not in college yet then you need to try and get here, because as much as being sleep deprived and feeling like shit for like 3 days straight sucks the payout is handsome, so handsome.

  1. Texts from last night - this website has thousands of entertaining texts that people wake up to from their drunken stupor. Not all are written under the influence of alcohol but you can tell that a majority of them are conjured up by people that are feeling good... or not so good. (the numbers before the texts are the area code that it came from)
Sample - (203): I actually just cleaned easy glide lube off my desk. My life has gone way down hill since I met you.
  2. Fuck My Life - if you haven't heard of this yet then you probably aren't reading this blog. I wont go into the details of this since you already know what it is, just thought I'd remind you about its existence.
Sample - Today, I was sitting in class and I fell asleep during the lesson. I was wearing sweatpants and had an erection. My teacher came up to me and grabbed my penis. She thought it was my phone. FML
  3. Last Nights Party - I posted this site up a while ago, it's pretty popular already so you may be familiar with it. If not then check it out pronto. The photos are all provided and taken by Merlin Bronques who is living a pretty nice life if you ask me. Traveling around the world to parties that glow with VIP status and being surrounded with some of the most exotic humans on this planet.

  4. Stumble Upon - Heed my warning before you click the link to the left. This might be the reason for why I didn't do so hot one of my past semesters. This application might possibly one of the most addicting out there. This program takes you through all of the corners of the internet that you didn't know existed and opens your eyes. Step 1: download StumbleUpon for your browser --> Step 2: choose your interests --> Step 3: click the stumble upon button until your finger hurts.
  5. YSS - save the best for last, once again guys help us spread the word! We'd love to grow and share our love for life, music and media.
I guess there's only one thing left for me to do at this point. Study? No, I love you guys too much, so it's time for the hotness. Something not to hectic though...

There's No Turning Back

The not so recent release of MSTRKRFT's new album titled Fist Of God is a very nice attempt at targeting the more mainstream aspect of their fanbase and the music industry. The duo from toronto/ontario Canada have called upon the aid of other main stream artists such as John Legend, E-40, Freeway and fishscales Ghostface Killah. Some of it works while some of it sounds a little silly probably because these artists have never worked with such a group like MSTRKRFT. Tmo recently posted Click Click which features E-40 in all his rambunctious hyphy splendor so check it out right here. My favorite track of the 12 track release is without a doubt Heartbreaker ft. Legend in his seductive style. Bounce ft. N.O.R.E & Isis ranks at #2 for me so i'll give you both and some sprinkles on top also.

Get Pumped What's Good?!?!?!

Recently I posted a Dj Lova stamped piece of merchandise and realized that many people didn't actually know what the fuck it was used for. So here it is again in all of it's glory, Dj Lova edition slipmats, they sit under the vinyl's on the turntables so that you can scritch and scratch.

I'm feeling super pump up right now for certain reason I can't really disclose but let's just say there's blood flowin' here. SO to commemorate this occasion let's have a Crookers post!!
The crookers is composed of two people and these people are dirty. So dirty in fact that their songs make you sweat, and grind and butt slappin, ball flapin. No but forreal, Crookers have a unique sound to them as you're about to hear. It's glitchy, and the sounds are like you've never heard before. Open your ears people, lets do it...
