I don't know about you guys, but here in Fred Vegas, it is dreary as shit. And with this depressing ass weather, Burial is a damn good answer. Not sure if I got this from Pigeons and Planes or not, but props to them for prescribing Burial as treatment for sorry ass weather. Below is Burial's remake of Four Tet's "Moth".
Time to bring it back old school style. Alright not that old school but still. Bizarre/tight remix of Overnight celebrity for ya, and some new Blaqpoet and N.O.R.E. goodness over some classic DJ Premier production.
This live compilation EP has been given out at every live Coldplay concert in 2009. You really got to appreciate how epic these concerts sound.
Described by Blender Magazine as "Unlikely mash-ups that work improbably well." The Hood Internet is a group of two mash-up artists that are damnnnnnnnnn tighttt. Think Girl talk but expanding their mixes over every genre. You can hit up their myspace for their compilation albums.
Here's a guy your gonna want to introduce yourselves to. Dan Black is somewhat of a unique case. Previously a member of the English alternative band, The Servant. Black has made a name for himself with some songs that have made the journey from one side of the internet to the other. Although he has his biggest fan base in Europe, I can see that it probably won't be long till the U.S. joins the groupie train. Below are two tracks, the first an example of Black's vocal skills over hip-hop style beats and the second a dope track blessed by Passion Pit's signature synth reworking.
New U-N-I. Old U-N-I. Of course, both deliver. If you haven't had a chance to listen to this Cali Hip-hop duo yet, I highly suggest it. In an effort to spread there music, they released their debut album "A Love Supreme" free(which of course is available below) on March 31st. Although this may not be technically an album, it is 2saucy to be deprived of the recognition and play it deserves. Below is a new cut, courtesy of 2DB, where you can see if you like their style. And with B.O.B. and Lupe currently working together, the addition of this duo would be nuts, just putting that out there.

01 My Life
New Wyclef Jean. Definitely feeling this song, bringing it back to the fu-gee-la days with some Timbaland infused production.
You ever feel like listening to some GRIMY ASS RAP? some rap that makes you forget your a middle classed white kid(myself) and makes you think of doing some crazy ass shit Mobb Deep style?

I'm feeling super pump up right now for certain reason I can't really disclose but let's just say there's blood flowin' here. SO to commemorate this occasion let's have a Crookers post!!
