Lollapalooza 2010

Just got back in town from what was an awesome Lolla 2010 experience!!!! (Just watched my cat eat a fly) Will be doing a short write up on all the bands I saw during the 3 day festival so look forward to that! Here is the breakdown of all the bands I remember watching:

• Friday:

Rocknoceros, Dirty Projectors, Caspa, Hot Chip, Chromeo, Lady Gaga, The Strokes

• Saturday:

Stars, The XX, WolfgangGartner, Metric, Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros, Rusko, Pheonix

• Sunday:

Neon Hitch, Yeasayer, Erykah Badu, MGMT, Arcade Fire

I realize that the posting on Special Sauce is as sporadic as snow falls in all 50 states (happened this year) but just check back whenever you can and you'll be sure to find some tight shit. 90% of the song in the video above is straight from sounds recorded from Alice In Wonderland which I need to watch again now that my brain can recognize all the references to drugs and such. Randomly found this guy who has got some pretty incredible tracks that he produced that goes by the name of Pogo. Seems like he is really talented in both the visual and audio parts of his work. This video shot at Powder Mountain found in Northern Utah. Where I just got back from, stayed in a sick condo with the rents, got drunk every night. My Dad saw me pouring vodka into my camelback and mixing it with lemonade...so that it doesn't freeze....He didn't believe me. Anyway's never made it to Powder Mountain but it looks nasty and so is this video, in HD also, looks so nice.

Shot on a 5DmkII, handheld, with a 15mm fisheye. Tried to capture the feeling of shredding a resort on a typical utah pow day.
